COMMUNITY IMPACT COORDINATOR
Inspired by Euripides’ The Trojan Women, where a community is reckoning with devastating loss, the ensemble ventured into their neighborhoods and interviewed everyday New Yorkers about the meanings of these themes in their lives. Those interviews, as well as the original writing of the ensemble, are the inspiration for the piece, which takes the assaults on our young men of color as the inciting crisis and explores the community dealing with what it is like to worry for the safety of their children.
